My name is Aziel Habtemichael. I was born and raised in Asmara, Eritrea. A third world country in Africa where people fight to live in. I came here to the US in 2019 to live a better life. I am currently a High School student. I am a huge sports fan. I like to watch movies and TV shows. I also listen to a lot of music.
Growing up I didn’t have the resources to get exposed to Engineering. I never knew I would be interested in Engineering. I always liked to create something from scratch, I just never knew how to make them digital. With an insufficient amount of internet and limited amount of electronics there I never knew I was ever going to be interested.
When I came to this country, through school and the Internet I got the chance to try it. In school I took a Robotics class and I joined the Robotics team. There I got the chance to further explore my interest and it has become one the best decisions I’ve made in my life. Following the next summer, I also made a lot of projects. I was lost not knowing what to do but the decision to try out Engineering, saved me. After that year I knew what I was going to do and I made goals for myself.
One of the goals I set for myself is to make a platform to expose other people to Engineering. With the help of programs like CodeNext from google I was able to do it. This website is set to help people get started on Engineering. You won’t know if you're interested until you try it. And who knows if you do, you might create something that will benefit the world someday. And my last and final goal is to help students in Africa get exposed to Engineering because there is a huge lack of investments in third world countries. And we are creating a platform for people there to try it out.
